Return to Your Natural Rhythm: On the Tranquil Island of Roatán

In a world that constantly asks us to hurry, produce, and stay connected, this retreat is an invitation to slow down. Return to Your Natural Rhythm is about stepping away from the noise so you can remember the pace that feels true to your body, your breath, and your spirit — the rhythm you were always meant to move to.

Set on the lush island of Roatán, this retreat is a playful and nourishing escape designed to reconnect you with yourself through yoga, movement, nature, and pure joy. Each day invites you to soften, explore, and breathe deeply — balancing grounding yoga practices with laughter, connection, and adventure.

Between flows and moments of stillness, we’ll dive into the magic of the island: snorkeling vibrant coral reefs, scuba diving in crystal-clear waters, and adventuring off the beaten path to discover hidden beaches, jungle corners, and local gems. This is a retreat where presence matters more than perfection, and fun is just as sacred as rest.

Whether you’re flowing on the mat, floating in the sea, or wandering somewhere new with sand on your feet and sun on your skin, you’ll be supported in slowing down and tuning in. This week is about freedom, exploration, and returning home — to your body, your breath, and your natural rhythm.

Samantha Schanstra

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Samantha, originally from New York, has spent the last four years in Bozeman, Montana, where she continues to cultivate her passion for movement. Growing up surrounded by her mom’s Pilates studio, movement has always been a central part of her life. It wasn’t until 2020, however, that she truly reconnected with her yoga practice, finding a deeper sense of balance and mindfulness on the mat. In 2023, Samantha traveled to Moyobamba, Peru, to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), eager to share her love of yoga and its transformative power with others. Now, as a teacher online, her style focuses on Vinyasa Flow, blending fluid movement with intention and balance. Samantha believes in the power of conscious movement to align both body and mind, offering a practice that invites self-discovery, peace, and growth. She is the founder of Estella Yoga, and loves more than anything sharing the practice of yoga with others in amazing locations. When she’s not teaching, Samantha enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Montana through skiing, hiking, and spending time with the animals at the local shelter, where she volunteers her time.

How to get here

Fly into Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB) in Roatán, Honduras.

Upon arrival at RTB, a pre-arranged driver will be waiting outside the terminal to pick you up. Expect a 25-35 minute drive from the airport to the Villa which is located on the West Bay side of the island.

Whether you’re seeking quiet solitude or sharing the adventure with a friend or partner, there’s a room to fit your style and intention.

We offer three room types:

  • Single King – for one guest.

  • Double King – a couple’s suite with one king-size bed for two people.

All rooms are priced per person and include a personal bathroom. The Villa is split into sections so everyone is able to have their own personal space as well as great shared spaces.

This Villa is located on a safe and private property located just a 10 minute walk from West Bay and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. The West Bay is known for the area's calm waters and direct access to the world's second-largest barrier reef. I cannot wait to explore this area with you.

To secure your room, a $350 deposit is required. After that, you can choose to pay in full upfront or join a flexible payment plan. We do not take direct bookings on the website — simply fill out the “Interested in Joining?” form, and Samantha will reach out personally to guide you through payment via Zelle or credit card.
